KDDK Welcomes New Attorney

Kahn, Dees, Donovan & Kahn, LLP (KDDK) – an experienced full-service law firm dedicated to effectively serving the civil law needs of clients for more than 105 years – is pleased to announce the hiring of attorney Matthew D. Malcolm.

Matthew D. Malcolm has joined KDDK as an associate and serves on the firm’s business law, economic development law, real estate law, and  creditors’ rights and collections law practice teams.

Matt is licensed to practice in the State of Indiana and has earned admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana; and is a member of the Evansville Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, Brooks American Inn of Court, and American Bar Association.

Since relocating to Evansville, Matt has become involved in the Southwest Indiana Chamber – Young Professionals Alliance, Youth Resources of Southwest Indiana Teen Court, United Way of Southwestern Indiana – Young Leaders United, Bible Study Fellowship, and VOICE.

A native of Westfield, Ind., Matt earned his bachelor’s degree from Butler University, Indianapolis, in 2010.  He majored in international management and minored in Mandarin at Butler, and his involvement included serving as Campus Crusade for Christ Student Leader, Delta Tau Delta Judicial Board Member, and International Orientation Guide and Co-Leader. Matt received the Midge Rust Award, Butler Academic Award Scholarship and College of Business Krannert Scholarship, and graduated in the top 10% of his College of Business class.

Matt earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington, in 2014. During law school, he served the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies (Notes Editor), Indiana University Student Association (Grammarian), and Congressional Committee (Chairperson).  He participated in the Sherman Minton Moot Court and the Bankruptcy Debtor Program. Matt interned with the Marion County Public Defender’s Agency and with KDDK.
