The law firms Kahn, Dees, Donovan, & Kahn, LLP (“KDDK”) and Lavallo & Frank (“L&F”) unified of all their attorneys under the name of Kahn, Dees, Donovan, & Kahn, LLP, effective January 1, 2012.
L&F’s founding attorneys, Steve Lavallo and Shannon Frank, are partners in the unified firm which has 30 lawyers. Lavallo and Frank have 50-plus years of combined experience in business, workmen’s compensation, real estate, construction, and estate planning law. L&F’s clients include a number of the region’s established businesses and new ventures.
“We realized that our strengths were complementary and that our ability to work cooperatively with each other had contributed to the success of clients we had in common,” said Mike Schopmeyer, one of KDDK’s co-managing partners. “The unification is an opportunity for more clients and businesses to benefit similarly.”
KDDK’s attorneys bring to L&F’s clients a depth of experienced litigation, employment, tax and environmental law expertise while L&F’s attorneys bring to KDDK’s client’s proactive and efficient experience in workmen’s compensation, construction and estate planning law, Schopmeyer said.
Effective January 1, all of the attorneys will be located in KDDK’s current downtown Evansville offices at 501 Main Street. Both law firms share a common culture of experienced and effective representation in complex legal transactions and service to the regional charitable community, while providing a rewarding career path for all attorneys and employees.
