Rotary Club of Evansville Earns Statewide Recognition for Local Project

The Rotary Pigeon Creek Canoe/Kayak Launch, located just off Green River Road north of Lynch Road, has been selected as the Indiana Outstanding Trail project of the year by the Greenways Foundation!

This project – led by the Rotary Club of Evansville under the leadership of KDDK’s own co-managing partner Brian P. Williams – “was completed in 2013, creating access to Evansville’s first blue trail, with more than six miles of waterway for paddling, fishing and exploration.”

The Rotary Pigeon Creek Canoe/Kayak Launch is an incredible amenity in our community, and it’s wonderful that the project has received this much-deserved recognition.

Kudos!!

Dr. John Scott Foster, Executive Director of Wesselman Nature Society, and Brian P. Williams, KDDK Co-Managing Partner and Past President of Rotary Club of Evansville, accepted a plaque from Greenways Foundation.
