Representing our clients effectively, maintaining a quality work environment, and making positive contributions to the community have always been our firm’s mission. Delivering on this mission requires diversity of thought and cultural experiences that foster innovative, practical solutions to meet today’s complex business challenges. Representation matters.
We are committed to embracing diverse perspectives, creating equitable opportunities, and ensuring that everyone’s voices are valued. These objectives are met through firm leadership, operational practices, knowledge building, and supporting diverse vendors and community organizations. We continue to create and implement policies that affirm our commitment to practices that encourage individuals to apply for positions and seek advancement — and make decisions based on — qualifications, performance and ability.
Through our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, comprised of attorneys and management, we have promoted and participated extensively in both community-based and internal educational opportunities and training. These workshops and seminars focused on building awareness of unconscious and implicit bias, affinity predisposition, cultural and cognitive differences, and recruiting and hiring practices. Our training has helped us develop and advance skills needed to proactively build a more inclusive work environment. We have also improved how we build relationships and the services we provide our clients.
We understand the importance of intentionally choosing vendors and supporting community organizations owned by or dedicated to serving underrepresented populations in the Evansville region. We also look for opportunities to become involved and support area nonprofit organizations that are finding innovative ways to meet the needs of the community.
We are dedicated to creating a culture that expands our thinking and actions so we may best serve our team members, clients, and the community in ways that truly matter.
