Carrie Roelle’s practice focuses primarily in the area of employment law. She counsels employers with practical solutions to employment issues they face each day, including matters involving discrimination laws, leave laws, wage and hour compliance, employee discipline and discharge, employee handbooks and policies, and litigation avoidance. She also defends employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in matters involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, interference, retaliation and wage and hour violations. As a trained Title IX investigator and adjudicator, Carrie conducts fair and impartial Title IX investigations and can serve as an adjudicator overseeing the complex live hearing Title IX grievance process.
Investigations: Conducts Title IX investigations for universities and workplace investigations for employers involving allegations of sexual harassment and/or discrimination.
Training: Provides management training on various employment issues including FMLA, ADA, and Title VII compliance and sexual harassment avoidance.
Workplace Violence Restraining Orders: Assists employers in obtaining retraining orders on behalf their employees to prevent further contact by former clients, customers, or vendors.
Employment Litigation: Numerous successful defenses of employers in federal court and federal and state administrative proceedings.
