The Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana will be hosting a free workshop on Thursday, September 26, 2013, conducted by the Technical Assistance to Brownfields Program (TAB) at Kansas State University to help communities learn about Brownfield properties and how to fund successful redevelopments through different available resources.

The workshop will educate the community about Brownfields, share success stories, insurance recovery possibilities, and resources for Brownfields sites including the Brownfield Coalition assessment grant which the Economic Development Coalition will be applying to EPA on behalf of the region.  One of the guest speakers will be Deb Orr, EPA’s Director of Region 5.

The workshop is intended for local government officials, economic development staff, community grant writers, community groups, real estate developers, commercial real estate brokers, lenders, regional economic development agencies, consultants, and others interested in financial resources for local redevelopment.

The event will take place at the Coalition offices located at 318 Main Street, Suite 400, Evansville.  Registration is required as seating is limited.  Lunch will be provided.
