Helfrich has focused his legal practice on business law and real estate law for nearly 30 years, and has significant experience with mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, business entity formations, business contracts, and commercial finance. Licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Helfrich is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®.
Helfrich is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and Evansville Bar Association, and is a Licensing Instructor for the Indiana Association of Realtors. Additionally, he has held leadership positions with the Evansville Chapter Institute of Management Accountants Educational Foundation, Inc., Evansville Chapter of Sertoma, and Mater Dei Friends and Alumni Association.
A native of Evansville and graduate of Mater Dei High School, Helfrich earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 1982 and his Juris Doctor from Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law, Indianapolis, in 1985.
Helfrich joins KDDK Co-Managing Partners Mike Schopmeyer and Brian P. Williams. He succeeds Partner Jon Goldman, who has completed his term as a Co-Managing Partner and continues to engage in the active practice of law with the firm.
