Today is the deadline to register for the seminar KDDK attorney Michael E. DiRienzo will present on Wednesday, May 13, entitled:
“Fair Housing:
It’s Not Only the Right Thing to Do, It’s the Law!”
Presented by the Apartment Association of Southern Indiana (AASI), DiRienzo’s seminar will present property owners, property managers and sales managers with invaluable information regarding:
- Federal, state and local fair housing laws,
- Detailed coverage of the familial status protection,
- Compliance strategies,
- Consequences of non-compliance,
- Coverage of fair housing laws related to advertising, and
- What’s on the fair housing horizon.
According to information provided by AASI, individuals who do not attend a yearly fair housing seminar are six (6) times more likely to receive a fair housing complaint. Knowledge of fair housing laws ensures that residents and potential residents are treated equally, and protects property owners, managers and sales managers against possible discrimination lawsuits and fines.
