KDDK Partner G. Michael Schopmeyer has been invited to share his insights into recent Indiana economic development initiatives as part of an expert panel discussion hosted by the NAIOP Cincinnati. The program, New Legislation Affecting Economic Development: Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana is intended to provide a comparative analysis of legislative approaches in each state, their implications for businesses and communities as well as their impact on economic development.
As part of the discussion, Schopmeyer will share recent changes in Indiana law, available incentives from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), and other incentives and grants available to businesses through the state and local governments. He will discuss recent changes in Indiana tax laws and the second round of monies made available through the Regional Economic Development and Leadership Initiative (READI). In addition, Schopmeyer will dive into a list of IEDC incentives available to help offset expenses such as property taxes, workforce development, and research and development expenditures among others.
Schopmeyer will be joined by Anne Tyler Morgan, Member, McBrayer PLLC, from Louisville, Kentucky, and David Robinson, Principal, The Montrose Group, LLC, in Columbus, Ohio.
