Four KDDK Attorneys Earn “Lawyer of the Year” Honors

KDDK Partner Michael E. DiRienzo has been recognized as Evansville “Lawyer of the Year” for his work in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law. Michael works with clients to effectively resolve disputes and continue to build their businesses. He routinely assists clients in the areas of bankruptcy, collection and creditors’ rights law, as well as complex commercial litigation involving business, environmental, construction, and real estate disputes and condemnation proceedings in state and federal courts in Indiana and Illinois.

KDDK Partner Carrie Mount Roelle has been recognized as Evansville “Lawyer of the Year” for her work in Labor Law – Management. In her practice, Carrie counsels employers with practical solutions to employment issues they face each day, including matters involving discrimination laws, leave laws, wage and hour compliance, employee discipline and discharge, employee handbooks and policies, and litigation avoidance. She also defends employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. As a trained Title IX investigator and adjudicator, Carrie conducts fair and impartial Title IX investigations and can serve as an adjudicator overseeing the complex live hearing Title IX grievance process.

For the third time, KDDK Partner Shannon S. Frank has been named Evansville “Lawyer of the Year” in Construction Law. Prior honors were published in The Best Lawyers in America^© 2022 and 2024 editions. Shannon assists many area builders, developers, subcontractors, and suppliers in the construction industry. With a business background, she understands many of the issues facing business owners and key management personnel and works to develop effective solutions. In addition, Shannon’s work in the Evansville area’s housing industry has been recognized by the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association (SIBA).

For over a decade, Co-Managing Partner Mark S. Samila has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America^©. This year, Mark has been named Evansville’s “Lawyer of the Year” for his work with Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships). Mark works extensively with privately owned businesses and their owners on the purchase and sale of businesses, equity investments, business and succession planning, and tax and estate planning.
