KDDK Partners Monica E. Edwards and Stephen S. Lavallo were named 2026 Indiana Super Lawyers earlier this year. Edwards was recognized for her work in Environmental Law, and Lavallo was honored for his work in Worker’s Compensation Defense.

Our Environmental Law attorneys understand the difficulties our clients face in complying with the continuously changing regulations imposed by federal, state and local environmental agencies and strive to provide our clients with practical solutions for their environmental problems. Edwards has extensive experience in the recovery of funds for environmental investigation and clean-up at petroleum-, chlorinated solvent-, and heavy metal-impacted sites. She represents clients on state and federal environmental matters and draws upon her scientific experience as a technical services chemist and prior environmental consultant in her practice of environmental law.
KDDK exclusively represents employers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in the defense of worker’s compensation matters and cost recovery for services provided in work-related injuries. A broad range of experience and knowledge of the law and the nuances of the worker’s compensation system uniquely qualify us to help make the worker’s compensation process, and costs associated with it, manageable. With more than 30 years’ experience, Lavallo has extensive experience in the practice of worker’s compensation defense. In addition, his practice includes business, real estate, and estate planning and administration.
For those who may not be familiar, Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The organization uses independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations to determine each year’s list.
