Today, the Department of Labor issued a model poster of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) for employers labeled, “Employee Rights: Paid Sick Leave and Expanded Family and Medical Leave under The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)”.
The model poster can be found here: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/pandemic
All employers with fewer than 500 employees (even small businesses with fewer than 50 employees) must post this notice of the FFCRA requirements in a conspicuous place on its premises, such as a lunchroom or breakroom. If an employer’s workforce is teleworking, the employer may satisfy this requirement by emailing or direct mailing this notice to employees or posting this notice on an employee information internal or external website.
Employers are not required to post this notice in multiple languages, but the Department of Labor is working to translate it into other languages.
Employers are only required to provide this notice to current employees, not prospective employees. If an employer hires a job applicant, the employer must provide this notice to them, either by email, direct mail, or posting this notice on the premises or on an employee information internal or external website.
The Department of Labor may update this notice in the future. Employers may obtain the most current version of the notice here: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/pandemic
